UPLAND – Sometime before 12:00 pm Upland PD along with San Bernardino County Fire received multiple 911 calls of an airplane that crashed just west of the Upland Airport on Dewey Way and W Foothill Blvd. Once firefighters and officers arrived on scene they located a small aircraft that crashed in the open field just west of the airport with one person still inside the plane. Firefighters were able to get the victim out of the plane, he transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Unknown at this time what caused the aircraft to crash. Upland PD will be helping with the investigation along with (NTSB).
