ORO GRANDEA brush fire in the High Desert community of Oro Grande threatened numerous homes Friday night. The fire was reported just before 8:00 PM along National Trails Highway (Route 66) in Oro Grande (National Trails & Pryvaght Road). SBCo Fire quickly called for a second alarm. As of 10:00 PM, the fire was reported to be eight acres. A least a half dozen homes were threatened. The fire spread toward the brush near Mojave River and required hand crews to fight the fires spread.
