Crash Kills Two, Driver Flees | COVINA, CA 11.8.20

COVINA, CALIFORNIA – Early Sunday morning at 2:08 am, November 8, 2020, California Highway Patrol Baldwin Park Station and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a two vehicle traffic collision with one person ejected out of the vehicle and a second person trapped inside the car at eastbound 10 freeway just before Via Verde St exit. Once firefighters arrived on scene they located one victim in lanes of traffic with one Good Samaritan performing CPR and a second person still trapped inside the vehicle. The Los Angeles County Fire Department declared both victims DOA. Three people fled out of the black minivan on foot up into the hills. About 20 minutes later the two people, both young, returned back to the scene. CHP spoke with both before being transported to a local hospitals with minor injuries. Unknown at this time if the white vehicle was stalled / stopped in lanes when the minivan crashed into the rear of it violently.
