RIALTO, CALIFORNIA – At 1:31 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 Rialto PD and Rialto FD responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Locust Ave and Riverside Ave. On arrival units located a vehicle with major damage with two patients that required extrication from the car. After a lengthy extrication, both patients were transported in unknown condition to a local hospital. After talking with a driver of an Amazon semi-truck, it was learned that the car was traveling at a high rate of speed and possibly ran the red light at the intersection crashing into the rear bumper of the trailer. The driver of the semi-truck and his co-driver were not injured in the collision. Rialto PD is investigating the crash. No other information was available.
