Dog Rescued From Crashed Car After Police Pursuit| ANAHEIM CA 10.4.20

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA – Buena Park Police were in pursuit of a suspected stolen vehicle around 8:50 pm. The driver lost control of his vehicle near the 2600 block of W. Lincoln Ave. in the city of Anaheim, the car hit the curb sending it crashing into the flood control channel below. Officers from the Buena Park PD quickly assisted the driver into handcuffs and up to safety where fire personnel rendered aid. The officers quickly learned a dog was also trapped inside the vehicle but called for OC Animal Control to help remove the dog from the wrecked vehicle. The animal control officer was able to remove the dog from the vehicle and appeared to have some injuries to one of his legs. The driver was taken to a local trauma center in unknown condition and will be in jail following his release from the hospital. The dog was taken to a local vet to be checked on. Buena Park police are investigating.
