LA VERNE, CALIFORNIA – On Thursday night November 19, 2020, La Verne PD along with California Highway Patrol and La Verne Fire Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with one person trapped at eastbound 210 freeway at the eastbound foothill Blvd on ramp. A witness stopped and got out of his vehicle and was able to get to a child before firefighters and paramedics arrived. The Good Samaritan was talking with the child calming him down until firefighters arrived. Police and firefighters arrived on scene and located another child still trapped inside the car inside his car seat with the vehicle upside down and no driver in the car. Firefighters were able to get the child out of the vehicle and transported to a local hospital. CHP, La Verne PD, along with firefighters, searched the area for the driver. After about 5 minutes of searching they found a female laying in lanes away from the wreckage. Firefighters and paramedics pronounced her dead on scene. Unknown at this time what led up to the traffic accident.
