RIALTO – At 6:21 PM Rialto PD along with Rialto FD responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a truck and semi-truck. First arriving units found an occupant inside the truck with life-threatening injuries but were unable to get to him due to the positioning of the truck underneath the semi. Crews worked heavily to try and save the occupant but weren’t able to. The occupant died on the scene due to the injuries. Rialto PD is investigating the traffic collision at this time and has multiple witnesses to question. Rialto PD stated Riverside Ave will remain closed for several hours. They will post on their social media pages of when the roadway will re-open.
