ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST – CHP, LACOFD, and LASD received a 911 call of a traffic accident with a person trapped inside a vehicle on Highway 39 near Morris Reservoir Dam at mile marker 29.0. Once firefighters and officers arrived on scene they located a white vehicle that crashed into a pole with the pole going through the vehicle trapping one person inside the vehicle. Firefighters were able to get a second person out of the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.The trapped victim inside the vehicle was pronounced dead on scene. Unknown at this time how the accident occurred. California Highway Patrol will be handling the investigation into the fatal accident.
