Fountain Valley: Car Shreds Apart After Slamming Into Tree

At 11:04 pm Fountain Valley Police received multiple calls of a car crash near Brookhurst and Ellis Ave. When crews arrived they found a vehicle on fire and a male that was trapped inside the car. Witnesses say the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed before crashing into a tree and losing control and going airborne doing a 360 in mid air before landing in the middle of the street. The driver was taken to a local trauma center and is expected to survive. It is unknown is drugs or alcohol were involved, Fountain Valley Police are investigating.
