DOWNTOWN LA, CALIFORNIA – A freeway construction worker that was contracted by CalTrans was struck and killed on the South 110 freeway. The man was in the process of closing off the 3rd lane when a dark SUV struck him. The SUV did not stay at the scene after hitting the man. When LAFD arrived they declared the victim deceased at the scene. It was an extremely emotional scene as lots of people were seen crying. A possible wife or girlfriend of the deceased also arrived at the scene, even though they advised her over the phone not to show up to the scene. CHP has no other information at this time. At this time the SR 110 S / Us 101 N is closed down until further notice. No further information available.
