EL MONTE, CALIFORNIA – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Norwalk Station was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle. At one point the suspect attempted to hit a deputy with the stolen pick up truck as he turned around on a dead-end. One sheriff deputy crashed into a civilian vehicle during the pursuit. The deputy and the innocent bystander were both OK. The suspect eventually got on the 605 freeway northbound heading to El Monte. California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Springs station took over the pursuit. The suspect exited out at Valley Boulevard. The suspect went west on Valley Boulevard into the city of El Monte where the vehicle was stolen from. After about 45 minutes the suspect eventually came to a stop at a gas station at Durfee Ave and Peck Rd. The driver and passenger were both taken into custody.
