CLAREMONT – Motel 6 called 911 regarding two males fighting outside of room 264. Once Claremont Pd arrived on scene one witness said that the male went inside room 264 and barricaded himself and was armed with a knife. Claremont Pd requested Pomona Pd to come out with their K9. Claremont Pd made several attempts along with Pomona Pd canine to call the suspect out of the room but the suspect did not respond. After about an hour or two Claremont Pd made entry into the room where the suspect was barricaded inside the bathroom. The suspect refused to come out and Claremont officers had a kick in the bathroom door. Claremont Pd had to taser the suspect twice due to him resisting. Los Angeles County Fire was called out to check out the suspect and he was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital with minor injuries. Unknown at this time if officers located any weapons inside the room. Due to this incident Claremont Pd had to evacuate some nearby rooms.
