CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – 4:11pm CMPD, NCSHP, MEDIC & Charlotte Fire responded to a multi-vehicle crash with at least 1 vehicle reported overturned. The accident was on the outer loop of I-485 between Johnston Rd & Rea Rd. Charlotte Fire Station 24 found 3 crashed vehicles all over the outer loop with a van overturned on its side. A silver car ended up crashing off the road. All occupants were out of vehicles walking around. The van was registered to Reliable Medical Supply. CMPD shutdown the entire outer loop of the interstate while EMS provided care to victims and the van could be uprighted. MEDIC transported one victim to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.
