CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a reported shooting at 7904 Oak Meadow Court. When officers arrived they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound. MEDIC pronounced the victim deceased. Officers with a rifle team could be seen within the apartment complex searching for any suspects connected to the shooting. Officers were seen focusing on a 2nd floor window of one of the apartment buildings. CMPD Major Cecil Brisbon said officers with the rifle team respond to incidents like this where there is a “hot” and fluid situation. MEDIC confirmed they also transported a 2nd victim with serious injuries to Atrium Main with serious injuries. Witnesses said they saw officers detain one person and place them in handcuffs. Crime Scene Technicians responded to the scene to collect evidence and photograph the scene.
