Saturday, June 15 2019, firefighters responded to the crash of a privately owned single-engine propeller-driven fixed wing two-seat airplane mid-slope in remote terrain of Santa Susana Mountains approximately 2 miles north of Porter Ranch; LAFD rescue helicopter – dispatched along with LAFD ground crews following notification by Air Traffic Control, was first to discover the wreckage and lowered a Firefighter/Paramedic to the debris field to discover one adult male deceased; No fire; No other injury reported.
