ORANGE COUNTY – LOS ANGELES COUNTY – A female driver took Orange County Sheriff deputies on a pursuit from Orange County to the city of Lawndale. The driver was wanted for a minor traffic violation but when units tried to pull her over, she just fled. The CHP took over the pursuit near the city of Santa Ana on the 405 freeway. The driver hit a spike strip and lost the front passenger tire which created sparks as it was flying down the 405. The driver pulled over and gave up without further incident on the 405 just before Rosecrans Ave in Lawndale. No injuries were reported.
