RIVERSIDE: 91 Freeway Crash Sends 4 To Hospital

On Saturday night, September 14, 2019, the California Highway Patrol along with the City of Riverside Fire Department and AMR responded to multiple reports of a traffic collision on the 91 Freeway. The crash was reported around 10:16pm on the westbound and eastbound 91 Freeway at the Magnolia Avenue exit. According to a California Highway Patrol incident log, a white Prius and an SUV were traveling eastbound on the 91 Freeway when they collided. The crash sent the SUV over the center divider where it struck a white Jeep. The occupants in the Jeep had to be extricated. The occupants inside the SUV and the Prius were able to self extricate. Four people were transported via ground ambulances to an area hospital in unknown condition. A SIG Alert was issued for the 91 Freeway for an hour while Officers conducted their investigation. It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the crash. No further details were available.
