Early Saturday morning August 04, 2018 the California Highway Patrol along with the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to reports of an overturned semi. The accident was reported around 1:57am on the westbound 91 Freeway, Mission Inn off ramp. According to the semi truck driver, a car lost control and caused him to swerve and lose control himself sending him down the freeway embankment coming to rest on the off ramp. The overturned semi was hauling sand which spilled across the off ramp. It appeared Officers had the cars driver detained. No injuries were reported and Officers were looking into whether speed and or alcohol may have been involved.
