The incident was reported around 8:50pm at the Sam’s Club in the 6300 block of Valley Springs Parkway. The first arriving engine company reported a sheared hydrant in the parking lot of the business shooting water roughly 100 feet into the air. Firefighters were able to get the hydrant completely shut down within 30 minutes however, not before the sheared hydrant turned the parking lot into a lake. Water in the lot got as high as the bottom of the doors of several vehicles in the lot. It doesn’t appear any vehicle were damaged. It’s unclear if the semi driver remained at the scene.
