RIVERSIDE: Shooting At Downtown Nightclub

Early Monday morning October 29, 2018 the Riverside Police Department, Riverside City College Police Department along with the City of Riverside Fire Department and AMR responded to multiple reports of a shooting at a downtown nightclub. The shooting was reported around 12:06am at Sevilla Nightclub in the 3200 block of Mission Inn Ave. When Officers arrived it was complete Chaos as people were running from the nightclub as well as multiple fights breaking out in the parking lot and surrounding streets. At least one male was found on the outside of the nightclub suffering from a gunshot wound. Unconfirmed reports that other victims fled and called 9-1-1 however, those reports are unconfirmed. Additionally reports indicated a bullet struck a window on a Metrolink train a block away. The club was holding an event called “The Purge” at the time of the shooting according to their website. The area around the nightclub has been taped off. No further details were immediately available.
