HOLLYWOOD – A man walking on the sidewalk in front of the Palms Inn on Sunset BLVD confronted an innocent group of five people whom were conversating amongst themselves in the front parking lot. The man asked if they had a problem with him. The three females and two males assured him that everything was ok and that they had no problem with him. The male suspect appeared to have a gun behind his back during the confrontation. He then walked around the corner to a late model Mercedes and as he drove away he fired at least 3 rounds at the group. Both males in the group were shot, the females escaped with no injuries. One male victim was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries and the second male victim that was transported was struck in his buttox.
The group was visiting Hollywood from Pennsylvania on a summer vacation.
