UPLAND: Baby and Mother Abducted

On October 27, 2018 at about 5:45am, the Upland Police Department received a 9-1-1 call in the 1400 block of Sunrise Circle North regarding a subject who was screaming for help. Officers responded to the area and located the victim, a white male adult in his 20s, who appeared to have been involved in an altercation and was bleeding. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. During the initial investigation, Officers learned the victim of the assault was visiting a female friend when her ex-boyfriend and father of their child, Brandon Alexander, entered the residence and assaulted the male victim. Shortly after tending to the male victim, Officers checked the location for the female and child but were unable to locate them. Police believe Alexander had taken the female victim and 15 month old child against their will. Since this incident began, the victim has not had any communication with family or friends. Alexander is on Post Release Community Supervision for domestic violence and was restrained from the female victim. Around 10:30pm Officers spotted the suspects grey Jeep and a pursuit was initiated. After a short pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody and both kidnap victims were found safe and unharmed.
