A young child and a teenager suffered severe burns Friday afternoon in Victorville. According to scanner traffic, a four year old and a sixteen year old were playing with matches and gasoline when the gas ignited and burned the two. Initial dispatch indicated that there may have also been an explosion. Victorville Fire responded to the call around 4:15 PM. Arriving units found the two victims and requested two Air Ambulance Helicopters. Mercy Air and CHP H-80 responded to Liberty Park and transported the two victims to the Burn Center at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The incident location was at a home in the 14200 block of De Sota Drive. A neighbor (off camera) stated that the young child was in pretty bad shape.
