A high speed rollover traffic accident in Victorville Monday has sent at least one person to a trauma center. The accident occurred around 4:30 PM Monday in the 15800 block of Village Drive. According to nearby residents (off camera), a black sedan was heading northeast on Village Drive at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, went off the road way, rolledover and struck a park vehicle in the front yard of a home. The sedan continued into a neighbor’s yard and caught fire. The residents put the fire out with a hose and then looked for victims. According to the witnesses, the driver attempted to flee on foot but didn’t get far before having to stop. According to the witnesses, the passenger in the sedan was unresponsive. No one was in the parked vehicle at the time of the collision. The passenger was transported to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and transferred to a Mercy Air Ambulance for transport to a trauma center. The accident is under investigation by SBSO Victorville Station.
