MANHATTAN BEACH, CALIFORNIA – Thousands went to the beach to enjoy the mid-January heat. Crowded beaches made it difficult to socially distance. Drone footage captured thousands enjoying a hot Sunday afternoon with a high surf advisory in place, waves up to 8 feet in size. Many rip currents kept lifeguards busy, one surfer got hit with his board, breaking his ear drum.
