SOUTH L.A.: Teen DUI Pursuit

Two teenagers are in custody after leading police on a high speed pursuit through South L.A. early Tuesday morning, according to Police. Sergeant Rick Rogers from LAPD’s 77th Division says the pursuit reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. The short pursuit ended when the 17 year old female driver lost control of the car before crashing and rolling over in front of house along 108th street near Van Ness Avenue, according to Sergeant Rogers. A woman inside the home says she heard it all happen and was very shaken up. Police say both the driver and her male teenage passenger were injured and taken to the hospital. Rogers says the suspect is expected to face several charges including DUI and felony evading.
