At approximately 2122, LAFD and LAPD responded to reports of an auto vs pedestrian crash at 12743 Oxnard Street. Per witnesses, the vehicle that had struck the female pedestrian stopped momentarily, but then fled the scene. Arriving units found a female, possibly in her 20s, down in the middle of the street. It appears she was struck and thrown about 60 feet. Witnesses state she was hit by the vehicle going about 45 miles per hour. The victim was transported to Cedars Sinai Hospital in what appears to be critical condition. The suspect information is unknown at this time, although multiple witnesses are talking with LAPD about the description. LAPD Valley Traffic Division is handling the incident. LAPD Has Oxnard Blocked off in both directions between Bellair and Goodland.
