RIALTO: Pursuit Termination With Carjacking Suspect

RIALTO: On Monday morning, June 11th, around 11:15am, a multi vehicle traffic collision occurred at the termination of a police pursuit involving a carjacked vehicle. San Bernardino Police Department were in pursuit of a carjacking vehicle that occured in the city of San Bernardino.. The suspect had carjacked a “Gas Company” sedan by using a crowbar to intimidate the occupant of the gas company vehicle. At the pursuit termination point, on the westbound 210 freeway, the suspect struck two vehicles. One of the victim’s vehicle had a dog inside. San Bernardino Police Department’s Animal Control officer responded, and removed the dog from the vehicle. The owner of the dog was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition, for complaints of abdominal pain. The dog did not have any injuries, and is being cared for by animal control until the owner is able to retrieve the dog. The other victim, in the other vehicle that was hit, did not have any injuries. Police arrested the suspect on various felony charges.
