MOTT HAVEN, Bronx – NYPD ESU responded to a call in regards to a woman locked in a crate at East 137 St & Willis Ave, 3 am Sunday, within the confines of the 40 Precinct. Upon arrival, they discovered a locked woman in a basement. They broke the lock, freed the woman, and cuffed her. Landlord stated she always sleeps in the basement so he locked her in for reasons unclear. She was uncuffed and police left the scene.
