Four Shot, One Dead in Bedstuy Shooting

BEDSTUY, Brooklyn – Four people are shot and one is dead. This happened at 10:26 pm Thursday in the lobby of 1778 Fulton St, within the confines of the 81st Precinct. Upon arrival of 81st Precinct units, they rushed four ambulances to the scene after discovering four people shot. A 20-year-old male was shot in the head and chest and pronounced deceased on scene by EMS. Another 20-year-old male was shot in the torso and is in serious condition. A 55-year-old female was shot in the stomach, and a 22-year-old female sustained a grazing gunshot wound to the buttocks. Both are in stable condition. All three but the deceased were transported to Brookdale Hospital. The 81st Precinct transmitted a level 1 mobilization. According to a witness, police initially arrested one suspect for questioning but was released. The investigation is ongoing.
