High-Rise Compactor Fire

RED HOOK, Brooklyn – A compactor fire broke out at 9:30 pm Wednesday, at 135 Richards St, within the confines of the 76th Precinct. Both elevators were not functioning. No residents were found injured or trapped in the apartments. The fire was under control by 10 pm.
