BROOKLYN: Lady Killed by Her Car

BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn (1.26.19) – A lady was killed by her own car. This happened at approximately 5:48 pm, Saturday, at 115 96th St, within the confines of the 68th Precinct. Upon arrival of Police and FDNY EMTs (48G), they discovered the 88-year-old female with severe trauma to her body trapped under a vehicle. Firefighters worked to elevate the vehicle prior to extricating her from underneath. Bravo Volunteer Ambulance (93A) and FDNY Paramedics (42X) was also on scene to assist. She was transported via FDNY ambulance to NYU Lutheran hospital in traumatic cardiac arrest, CPR being performed. She was pronounced deceased at the hospital. After an investigation by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad, they discovered she exited her vehicle to open the garage door when her 2018 Hyundai Kona rolled over her trapping her underneath.
