BROOKLYN: Police Car Collision with Pedestrian

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn – Two officers and a pedestrian is injured in a collision involving a police car. At 6:45 p.m. on Saturday officers responded to a 911 call in regards to an active shooter at the Livonia Ave subway station. While driving with lights and sirens, they made a turn on New Lots Ave & Jerome Ave where they spotted a mother and child. They swerved to avoid hitting them, jumped the curb, hit a 32-year-old male, a parked car, and a tree. The two officers suffered from minor injuries and were transported to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. The pedestrian broke both legs and was transported to Brookdale Hospital.
