NYPD: It was reported to police that on Saturday, January 30, 2021, inside of 416 East 149 Street, (PLS Check Cashing) at approximately 0800 hours, an 84-year-old male victim was in line waiting to cash a check when an unidentified male approached the victim, applied pressure to the victim’s wrist and forcibly removed approximately $180 dollars and a check from the victim’s hand. The unidentified male then fled the location on foot. No injuries were reported.
