The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to an assault that occurred within the confines of the 42 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at approximately 1050 hours, on board a BX6 MTA bus, an unknown individual threw hot liquid in the 49-year-old female bus operator’s face following a dispute over non-payment. The individual, who was only on board the bus for approximately one stop, threw the liquid as he got off the bus at 3 Avenue and East 163 Street. He fled westbound, on foot, along East 163 Street. The victim refused medical attention.
The individual is described as a male, approximately in his mid-40s, 5’8″ tall, weighing 170 pounds, with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a black winter hat, a blue face mask, a dark blue jacket with red and white stripes on the sleeves, blue jeans and black boots.
A surveillance video and photo depicting the individual during the incident on board MTA bus #322 is attached and available at DCPI.
