4.17.20 | by Adam Balhetchet | WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn – Police conducted crowd control at a fire that happened around 3:13 am Friday at 166 Wilson St. After the fire was confirmed, an FDNY Chief radioed in that he needed police for crowd control. All available 90th Precinct units responded to the fire. They directed the crowd including young children away from the fire. Fire lines were also established to keep the crowds back. Most were not observing social distancing guidelines of six feet and not wearing face masks. This coming after Governor Cuomo issued an executive order this week requiring face masks to be worn in all public areas. No one was injured in the fire and the cause will be determined by fire marshalls.
