MANHATTAN: 2 Alarm Fire

LOWER MANHATTAN – A two-alarm fire broke out at 1:40 pm Wednesday within the confines of the 1st Precinct. All hands was transmitted 5 minutes after their arrival. An extra engine and truck was requested shortly after. A two-alarm was transmitted at 2 pm. An additional 2 trucks were requested. Fire was under control at 3:10 pm. No reported injuries after primary and secondary searches were complete. Two lanes of the west end highway were closed due to the fire.
