MANHATTAN: Car Crashes Through Wall, Killed in Car Fire

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (1.20.19) – A fatal car crash happened around 4:30 am, Sunday, at Riverside Drive & West 155th St, within the confines of the 33rd Precinct. A wrong-way driver crashed through a wall and parked car, fell 50 feet below landing upside down, resulting in a blazing fire that killed the driver right next to a cemetery. His occupant, a 35-year-old male, was ejected from the vehicle, and in serious condition. Upon arrival of NYP EMTs, they found the man semi-conscious with abdominal injuries. They transported him in critical condition to an area hospital. NYPD highway, fire marshals, and detectives were on scene investigating.
