Perp Struck Cop with BMW, Shots Fired

EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan – A perp struck a cop with his BMW after police did a routine traffic stop. This happened around 9 pm on Thursday, within the confines of the 13th Precinct. Shots were fired at the vehicle by police. The perp then fled the scene with the BMW and dumped the car at East Houston & FDR. Police are looking for the perp who is currently at large. The officer was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
