NEWARK, New Jersey (1.28.19) – A police-involved shooting left one perp deceased and another hospitalized. This happened around 11:30 pm Monday at Irvine Turner Boulevard & Kinney Street. It started when Police tried to stop a Chrysler vehicle occupied by 35-year-old Andrew Dixon and 46-year-old Gregory Griffin. They refused to stop. Police went on a brief vehicle pursuit with shots being fired at three different locations. It ended on Irvine Turner Boulevard & Kinney Street where multiple police units swarmed the Chrysler and apprehended the perps. A loaded pistol was recovered inside the vehicle. Both perps were transported in critical condition via ambulance to University Hospital where Gregory Griffin was pronounced deceased. No officers were injured during the shootout | by Adam Balhetchet
