QUEENS: Fatal 2-Alarm Fire Kills Lady, Injures 5 Others

JAMAICA, Queens (1.17.19) – Around 11:30 pm, Wednesday, at 166-11 91st Ave, within the confines of the 103rd Precinct, a two-alarm fire injured six people, killing one of them. The fire was under control by 1 am | by Adam Balhetchet
NYPD DCPI: On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 2322 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a residential fire inside 166-11 91 Avenue, within the confines of the 103 Precinct. Upon arrival and extinguishment of the fire by FDNY personnel, officers observed an 84-year-old female, unconscious and unresponsive, within the first floor of the location. EMS responded to the location and transported the female and an 85-year-old aided male, also within the location, to Queens General Hospital, where the female was pronounced deceased and the male remains in stable condition. The cause of the fire is to be determined by NYC Fire Marshall. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
