6.2.19 | by Adam Balhetchet | QUEENS (DCPI) – On Sunday, June 2, 2019, at approximately 0234 hours police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision at 114th Road and Springfield Boulevard within the confines of the 105th Precinct. Upon arrival, police discovered a 53-year-old male (operator 2010 BMW) with head and body trauma, 23-year-old female (operator 2016 Jeep), 22-year-old male (front passenger of 2016 Jeep) and 19-year-old female (rear passenger of 2016 Jeep) with minor injuries. EMS responded and transported the 23-year-old female, 22-year-old male and 19-year-old female to North Shore Manhasset Hospital in stable condition. EMS transported the 53-year-old male to Franklin General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A preliminary investigation reveals that the 23-year-old female was driving a 2016 Jeep traveling northbound on Springfield Boulevard and collided into a 2010 BMW operated by a 53-year-old male traveling westbound on 114th Road attempting to make a right turn onto Springfield Boulevard. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad.
