3.18.20 | by Adam Balhetchet | UPPER WEST SIDE – A violent subject who was apprehended after a struggle. Backup was called, and multiple ESU and Precinct units showed up to restrain the subject, place him into a stretcher, and transported him to hospital. An officer was seen bending over rubbing his eyes in cell video shot by a neighbor, possibly injured from pepper spray. The subject may have had a mask on because he was a spitter although he did have an existing mask under his chin, which may have indicated him being sick. EMS was seen with masks on as well.
